Bluetooth® Wireless Technology Model

The NISSE wireless model supports both USB and Bluetooth connectivity. It can connect wirelessly to tablets, smartphones, and other compatible devices. NISSE can store pairing information for up to three Bluetooth devices. Including the USB connection, it can be paired with up to four devices in total. You can switch between connected devices using [FN] key combinations.

Switching Target Devices

To select the target device, press [FN] + [SHIFT] + [F1]–[F4]. To erase pairing information, press [FN] + [SHIFT] + [ESC]. All other [FN] layer key combinations are same as the original layout.

How to Connect via Bluetooth

To connect NISSE with a tablet or other Bluetooth device, you need to establish a pairing between NISSE and the target device:

  1. Enable Bluetooth on the target device to begin searching for NISSE.
  2. On NISSE, press [FN] + [SHIFT] + [F1], [F2], or [F3] to select a pairing slot.
  3. Confirm that the corresponding LED on NISSE is blinking.
  4. On your target device, NISSE will appear as "Esrille Nisse".
  5. Follow your device's pairing instructions.
  6. If prompted for a passkey (6-digit number), enter it on NISSE and press [ENTER]. If you make a mistake, press [ESC] to start over.

To erase existing pairing information and start a new pairing, press [FN] + [SHIFT] + [ESC].


Note: You cannot assign multiple pairing slots to the same device.

Checking Current Settings

To view the current configuration of your wireless NISSE:

FN-F1 Output (Wireless Model)

The wireless model displays the following additional information.

[FN][F1] Output Description
ble module The next two lines display the Bluetooth module's revision number and firmware version.
rev. The revision number of the Bluetooth module.
ver. The firmware version of the Bluetooth module.
lesc 1 when connected via Bluetooth 4.2 with Security Level 4 (Secure Connections); otherwise 0.
Note: Secure Connections is enabled only if the remote device also supports Bluetooth 4.2 and Security Level 4.
kvm The current active connection number (1–4).
[Voltage]v [Remaining]% When powered by AA batteries, the final line shows the current supply voltage and an approximate battery level.
※ If the voltage drops below approximately 2.0 V, the power will automatically shut off.
